Why wait? I already modified my network's IP from 192.168.10.* to 205.99.16.* and nothing has been harmed on either computer. I can still play IP based LAN games, such as UT, without a hitch

Now do you understand? It used that particular IP as an example. No where does it say you have to use that. Its like instructions for installing software. You place the disc in drive X where X is your CD drive and you install to drive Y where Y is your harddrive. Usually those happen to be d:\> for CD and c:\> for your harddrive. You can actually use whatever letters you want from a to z to label your drives as long as they have a letter. If I wanted to I could change my harddrive from c:\> to z:\>

Now this might affect some of my software since it wouldn't recognize that the drive has a new letter, but that's not the point.
