Honestly, I think at least 75% of the new playerworlds will fail. Why? Because most of the people that are managing them are entirely new to managing a playerworld. To just be given the "power" and stuff, it's just going to overwhelm most people. I've already seen it happening, where playerworld managers are handing out RC access like candy, and just running around with their staff tags on.

I just have a feeling that most of these people are either:

a) Not serious about making a playerworld that will actually hold a player's attention
b) Just in it for the power and popularity

Most playerworlds that actually finish will be amateur at best. I doubt all but a few will have enough quality content and quality staff members, to reach any kind of decent standard. I'm not saying ALL new playerworlds are going to suck, just most of them.

I'm not trying to insinuate that Unixmad made a bad move with pw renting, I actually find it refreshing, and it was a good business move. So in other words, these pw managers will either be content with having a nice playerworld, or content with having power.
