I realize you probably mean that it is a better format for after the sound is created. However it sounded as though you were saying MP3 is a better format to CREATE music with as opposed to MIDI. My point is that you can't use MP3 to tell a piece of hardware to play a certain note or progression. Mp3 is only a means to compress an already created work.

Ahh ok sorry about that I suppose I did word that poorly. I was referring to the finished product not the actual creation part itself. Havnt tried actually making the music in mp3 format always use this one format that comes with the program. (cant think of the name off the top of my head and I'm not home to look)
