Again, MIDI is completely dependent on the hardware. MP3 is dependent on the rate by which the file is encoded. You still seem to think that MIDI is a sound file. It is not. MIDI contains no audio samples. It is merely a file that tells a piece of music hardware what to do (e.g. play a Bb major scale in triplets, etc). Sophisticated hardware can produce better sound than any MP3 could muster. MP3 is just good for aftermarket instances where a file should sound the same no matter what hardware is it run with.

Where did I state it was originally created in mp3 format? I don't recall specifiying what format the music was originally being created in. You know what they say about people who assume things.

You said "mp3's are far superior when making custom music for your server as it has more options and higher quality". I realize you probably mean that it is a better format for after the sound is created. However it sounded as though you were saying MP3 is a better format to CREATE music with as opposed to MIDI. My point is that you can't use MP3 to tell a piece of hardware to play a certain note or progression. Mp3 is only a means to compress an already created work.
