I agree with this, however there should be another spell you need or something, so you can mark up to 10 locations, then before you make your portal, you would chose one of these places, and then teleport to that place. Then you could mark places such as your house, certain shops, etc. But maybe not treasure maps or in the haunted house, for obvious reasons.
