That would be a problem. I think Stefan should add a safe horse trade system, where it would transfer ownership to one person to the other, like if you wanted to give one away or sell one. That way you have the recent ownership of the horses. Maybe if a horses owner isn't active for a week or so then if you make it like you enough then the ownership would be transfered to whoever made it like them to 75%.
That way you would know for sure who rightfully owned which horse.

That'd work - and should be expanded to any pet, not only horses. maybe it could use ownership cards in your inventory which you can trade like items, and the horse belongs to the one who has the card. The card would hatch along with the horse, or make it a piece of the egg... And you shouldn't be able to sell it in shops
