When focusing magic, or any form of Spirit energy, a refined object would be preferred, like a diamond, or a finely cut piece of metal, otherwise, the magic would be "unclean" and unsafe for the user and those around him: "Well, I'll just pick up this piece of turd, put it on a string, and now I can cast magix! *BOOM* *dies*"

Plus, Talismans would lose all value cuz it's just a tooth on a string and then no one will be a Sorc because it's so easy to learn wizardry -_-
