Jeweler - identifies gems. As all gems come identified, this is a totally useless skill. Thaumaturgy identifies wands, before you ask, and it doesn't help either - wands come identified also.

Ringforging could be good though. Give an actual use to all these gemstones I keep lugging around. I don't know about int boosting - if I had a ring of int+4, I'd never fail a spell or scroll - but the rest sound good. What would pearls do? Wisdom? (Bad pun)...

My concern - this will become another stratifying element between the rich and the poor. These gems, except for diamonds, are never mined - if this comes to pass, emeralds, saphires, rubies and pearls have to appear in newbie activities so they see some profit, and not just the already uberwealthy who routinely cut down skeletons and rexes for hours at a time while at no personal risk.
