Sounds like a good idea. You should be able to choose which move goes into which slot .. there should be four, though, I think. S, S+forward, S+back, and S+side. It could work like the shortcut system for PSO does .. where for each button you just assign a certain technique. I too think that blocking should be reinstated..
One last thing, though, I think that the more complicated moves .. like the ones you mentioned .. should only be available to either people who have trained VERY much with non-weapon fighting, or those who have the knowledge of karate .. but of course, you'd need to train to learn new moves.
This could be SO great for Brigid followers .. they can't use weapons, so it would be very helpful to have new physical attacks. Let's hope for the best.
