1) Lot of stupidity going on. Saying "Compare the player counts of Classic and 2K2" is foolish because it ignores one major factor: You have to pay more to play 2K2. Of course there're gonna be more Classic players than Gold players. But that doesn't mean we need all of the Classic servers, and it doesn't mean that we have to keep the Classic servers forever.

2) MGess, you say that the Classic servers can be good. This is true. If a hundred talented scripters fall out of the sky and agree to work for you.

This will not happen.

Realistically, they're not gonna progress. And realism is the basis on which decisions like these need to be made.
