Another idea!

Inspecting - When you left mouse click another player a window should pop up for both players just like when doing a trade. You windows would say "Waiting for authorization" and the person your trying to inspect would see a window saying "Allow 'account name' to inspect you?"

However this should only be allowed in towns and such, because if you are able to inspect other players in dungeons you could seriously mess them up.

The whole point in "inspecting" is so you don't have to drop and item and say "Right click this" all the time to show someone what a COOL or 1337 item you have, instead they can simple ask your authorization to inspect you.

Also it's obvious some people would not like this so simple make a command such as "/inspect on" and "/inspect off" so you can simply turn it off that way if someone tries to inspect you it auto-declines and tells them you have inspecting turned off.
