Books give WAY too much mental exp. My mental level is the highest level I have just because I read spells a lot. It's given me nearly half of my total experience which I think, isn't a good thing to include.
It would just be better to have skills scrolls appear more often. So instead of buying a 300 platinum spell book, you could buy woodsman or something and gain some mental that way. |
