When you get down to these "subclasses" like Archer/Ranger/Assasin and stuff, it's easier to just roleplay as one instead of having a system worked out for subclasses. If you want to be an archer, just pick warrior class with bowyer or something, and get good with bow+arrow. Then you can set your name to "Bob the Archer" and it won't really make a difference.
