Bah. I liked the monarchy better. I'm thinking of what a hassle LAT hiring is, and applying that to everyday GM responsibilites gives me a headache. If there was an infrastructure - if all councilmembers could but a measure on the table, all councilmembers could log in to their secret headquarters, vote on all measures on the table, and when it gets 4 it passes...anyone who hasn't voted in a week is disregarded (6 members, 1 doesn't show, act like it's 5 members - 3 is a majority instead of a tie)...THEN, and only then, will there be a guaranteed turnaround time of ONE WEEK. |
