Nothign has inherent value? Then letters would have no value, neither would words, nor opinion, nor anything that was ever said by anyone. But that is not the case, or you would have not replied to my post.
Value is an abstract of potential worth and importance that varies from person to person - BUT each person has an inset internal subconsious heigherarchy of value - of good and bad, of right and wrong, sense of justice, etc.
I submit that there are certain truths in the universe that apply to everyone the same, and that to find out what they are is the subject of philosophy down through the ages. That there are some absolutes out there from which no one can escape.
And yes, perhaps the scope of my view of the cosmos was too wide when this is a little bitty graal forum with maybe a few dozen regular participants.
And while things that have not appeared on Graal before does not they have appeared on another video game before.
And if not in a game, then another program - or on paper - or form someone's train of thought - if not form this planet, then form another planet that we are totally unaware of.
The are a very large but limited amount of combinations of human DNA, and with six billion peopel on this planet alive now, not to mention that many and more who have lived and died since the beginings of humanity, no one is living now whose dna patterne - and possibly, thought processes - have not lived and happened before. Though lost to history with no record, i still think all has been done and we are doing it again, i know i can't back that up
but ... oh wait this is the scripting forum not philosophy class. heh |
