Masterpeices look like normal swords, but you can imbue them with some of your own powers and give it a personal name. Like you could forge a holy sword called Excaliber, and sacrifice a, oh say, Prayerbook of Holyword into it so it would not only do holy damage, but also have the quality Smite Undead.
