That's because it MEANS Earth, or something like that.
In Greek (Or was it roman?) history, There was Chaos. Then Night layed an egg which floated on chaos for a while. It hatched into Eros which created the earth and stuff... I think. Then Gaia (Mother Nature) and that... other guy were created and stuff. I don't know, it's been a while since I've gone over it. |
