The idiotic rumours set harassment, by a player going:

AFTER RESET THE BOMYS WILL BE FREE!
That causes other people to PM staff constantly (yea it happens, trust me) OMG LIEK FREE BOMIES WTS!? YAY!
Then if you say "I don't know." They reply OMDFG YOUI'RWE A FEGT CYZ YOUR LAME STFFR.

And if you say No they STILL pester you.
So by jailing the person massing rumours, it stops stupidity from spreading.
