Roads are a very bad idea.. Unless you can run over people and kill them, if you can't do that then it would be no fun and players would not like it. I know a lot of people and how they like things, I have a lot of experience. Plus, myself I think roads are a bit stupid.. The tileset looks kind of neat but I cant really tell what it looks like so I wont comment on that, some of the area boxed in by the roads look ok, but I cant really see that either. There isnt much room to spread out quests and stuff like that.. ah, I will give it a 5/10 so far, keep on chuggin.
