Breeding is a good idea, but not the way you put it, a better way would be for 2 ppl with bomies to take them to bopot temple and breed them there. The owners each get 500g for the offspring and the offspring are sold to different ppl.

If the bomy needs a bomb for a skill, then yes, but if not, then it shouldn't take anything.
