I dont agree with whoopa on the leg span part.
Moving diagonally doesnt mean it moves faster.
if we had a view of Graal like a helicopter view and rotated the map at about 45º moving up would look diagonal.
Bomy's not moving diagonal is just holding back the best version of bomys.
BUT...
you can also look at it this way,
if the owner is moving diagonal and the bomy is following , it would be covering land faster than moving up/left/down/right,
but that can be fixed by moving 1/2 x,y when moving diagonal then when moving up/left/down/right..
