Not sure about the dragon's breath part. Surely the whole world would be full of the stuff after a while, and it'd certainly stop any plans of humans entering dragon lairs in the future.
Maybe instead they use some sort of crystal found in a dragon's heart or something. We could say it's the thing that powers their fire, or some other such nonsense. |
