That's not the same thing as Isreal, not by a long shot. That was not truly a Jewish homeland, rather Stalin merely offered to set it as one. Isreal was the
original Jewish homeland. I doubt Jews would have wanted to settle so close to two totalitarianist countries anyway, Stalin probably would have invaded them like he invaded eastern Europe, then they would be no better off than they were in the first place.
