In my own experience, I have been chased after, with someone with the intent of trying to kill me. I get as far away from the person as possible, using any means necessary (transportation).

If the person catches up to me, I find that the "p" button of "0" button on the number pad works just fine. If I'm paused, and someone calls me a "n00b" or some other term to do with "newbie", then I ignore him. I don't put him on my ignore list, because the previous incedent happened when I was FAQ Chief for 2k1; therefore I should not, and cannot ignore people because they may need help. If the person insists on continuing to call me names, then I find it convenient to report him or her to a police for harassment. It only goes to show one's intelligence when they continue to call you names, or harass you.

From my own experience, you can do a fine job as a FAQ while paused, seeing as you can send and recieve PMs when you are paused.
