When Brittney's producers were searching for songs for her album project, they had a difficult time finding ones with lyrics that would be appropriate. Deciding to write some tailored to her interests, they asked her what subjects would she like to sing about. "Boys!" was the number one answer, and "chatting with my friends online" was the second.

So they set out to craft a song that captures the phenomenon of online talking that has taken the place of the telephone for today's teenagers. The song, titled "I.M.Me," is instantly recognizable and incorporates the shorthand lingo that's developed as teens simultaneously converse with several of the friends on their "buddy lists," and has an infectiously catchy chorus that you can't resist singing along to once you've heard it.

After hearing the song's demo, John Guess, two-time Grammy Award-winning engineer (for Dixie Chicks' "Wide Open Spaces" and "Fly" albums) came on board to produce a version for Brittney's upcoming album. Here are the lyrics:
