No no. Actually, goodbye is "adiosu" (adios) or "adyuu" (adieu).

I took that from the dictionary I posted. Look, get it through your head. The Japanese borrowed a lot of words from English, but that was all
after the time of the Samurai. "Bai" is no more "bye" than "biiru" is "beer" or "kouhii" ("h" in Japanese is pronounced similair to an "f" in English) is "coffee".
