Dustari does not RP terribly, some of them are learning, but hey, it's all a learning experience. Everyone wants high number on Graal 2002 so we can have a more enjoyable RP experience yet no one is willing to teach the new ones how to role-play? That's pretty shameful.
I personally fail to see how giving someone a written role-playing test will determine if they role-play well or not. I tell all new members what we do like toguilds (putting (( )) before and after all non relevant text) and how to role-play your own character. In battle, what does it matter that someone knows what OOC and IC means? You need to know how to accept the consequences that come with an event and you have to follow through. That is NOT on an RP test.
Anyways, my two cents on the Pirates invasion yesterday. From my understanding (because I was not there the whole time) is that Dustari went in to burn, grab some riches and other materials and get out. That's what we did, but as we were leaving civilians started showing up and going crazy, mostly helping the pirates. Then Dustari was forced to defend itself not only from Pirate Crew but from normal Graalians as well. Then, through no request of Dustari, other kingdoms decided to appear out of nowehere and help the pirates too! At this point, we were outrageously outnumbered and I think we can credit this to the fact that some kingdoms started helping Pirates (obviously because their ship was on fire) because they didn't know our side of the story. Anyways, things were from bad to worse from that point, and when you are in desperate times you take desperate measures, the rest is self explanitory.
Oh one more thing, the leadership we require is the return of our glorious King Kamuii, who is still on his travels to the new world (his account is not activated yet) |
