The weapons themselves can't win or lose either way. Saying some melee weapons are better than others is a lost cause, I say. Sure, a well crafted broadsword, to give a basic example, may be better than a poorly crafted or poorly balanced one. But even a "bad" balance may serve some purpose, facilitating a different kind of swing. They're apples and oranges, I think. All weapons were good, in their own way.
Besides, Asia and Europe both had so many different kinds of weapons it would be impossible to compare them collectively. |
