We need a charter saying who can hire/fire who. I like the LAT one: People are only hired during a publically announced hiring period by a majority vote, anyone can try to fire anyone else by starting a firing vote, 2/3 majority needed to do it. EXCEPTIONS go through Stefan and Unixmad. I've never had to get my staff changes approved - even if I'm being a biased bastard, I get one vote and the tiebreaker, that's hardly enough to screw up the whole process.
It's when the FAQ Admin is replaced overnight by a former civilian or L4 RCs are given to brand-spanking-new admin positions that there's a problem. And GP hiring, wts? "We'll hire you when we feel like it based on who we feel we can trust?" I hope that's been revised... |
