Still, most channels try not to give them co-founder status

I behave very differently on IRC. I'm not as egotistic and power-hungry on it. I've been on IRC for 7 years now and I know a thing or two about how to run a channel.

I don't really know if I can contest this. If you
want the channel to be as it is then sure, you've succeeded. It just doesn't suit my standards.

I don't act like I do on Graal on my channel. I'm more laid back and I allow more on the channel. Hell, even unixmad's been there twice, and he said "Thanks for hosting this chat room."
|
I read that log. Didn't he also get harrassed by a co-founder, and start the conversation saying that he didn't like the channel being there?

unixmad's also said he's going to make weekly visits to it, so, that should say something about how the channel is ran. He likes the channel.
|
He's only been there for a few minutes at a time, and when he does go he gets attacked by half of your ***** crew. I can't believe he actually likes it, the most you could say is that he feels an obligation to show up in public or something.

I really wish you people would just knock off the anti-Lycia crap. It gets old pretty fast. I am honestly not that bad of a person, and hell, even SG111 has nothing against me anymore. Neither does some of the SG111 site's staff. If that doesn't say anything about how I am, then I don't know what is.

Personally, I have some gripes with you. But most of what I dislike is not a matter of you, but rather the people you support. By my standards you run the channel terribly because you let a whole bucket of idiots in there and give them power over everybody else. I can talk with you as a person despite disagreeing with you on occasion, but your handling of that place is more than enough to stop me from visiting. I'd wholeheartedly oppose you being in control of any official version.

Anyway, I fully support a channel, but, not java-based or Graal-game based. Java is too buggy, and people complain about lag too much for a chat room on the game.
mIRC takes up very little resources, its easy to use, and hell, even a person on a 486x66 can use it and not have it lag up their computer.
|
Agreed. In-game stuff will never be as flexible or whatever, simply because mIRC has been in development for years by a dedicated programmer etc. Plus IRC gives people a choice of clients etc.
However, it could be cool if GScript was given some way of interacting with the IRC server program stuff so that players ingame could monitor and contribute to the chat.

The rules of the channel and how things are run there are under construction. Things will be more smoothly ran there, and there won't be any power abuse there. I really don't accept it.

:-/
"It's MY channel, if you don't like it, leave!"
I suppose it's not abuse when the owner does it.
