about the subscription thing... I don't like the idea either but it has advantages...
For example, since Windows 95 was released there has been Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows ME... and the upcoming XP
But if you subscribe to the upgrade service then you don't have to go out and buy a new OS, it will just upgrade itself and it should be cheaper that way too. I don't like the idea of paying, especially if it is going to cost a substantial amount per year, but the upgrading idea is good. |
