Did we ever say "turbans are ethnic headdresses worn exclusively by islamic people."? No.
Right now there is generally a lot of predjudice and racism towards Afganistan people, and anyone with an Indian eithnic background or any other background similar to it thanks to Osama Bin Laden, this is to be expected due to the horrific events of Sept. 11th, but is generally misdirected. Therefore this topic came up.
Also, punctuation is a virtue.
