er...not everyone has 3DSMAX, and Milkshape is a bit confusing to the common man.
<T-Squad>
PSP is only good to touch up on gfx made in paint, and if you want to give it a more 3d look you can.

PSP has better zoom...and moreover, you can use a simple one-pixel painting tool in psp with a sixteen color pallete and get a MS Paintbrush like product, though why you wouldn't want to use all tools available and good shading baffles me.
<T-Squad>
Using those tools I can hardly call skill...and if you believe that, then I can't imagine the job you would do without them.

Using airbrush isn't like Frontpage (which generates an inefficient website in something passable as working HTML, not worth the trouble methinks)...doesn't cause inefficiency, and moreover creates good effects impossible without using it (unless you want to spend hours on one darn sprite when you COULD do a whole set if you're good). I can't imagine the good job that you would do if you used these tools, however, if you have no desire to it's your loss. And I ask you...Have you ever taken a lineart and realistically colored it in with Microsoft Paintbrush? Probably not, since you'd most likely consider an airbrush, much less simulated darkroom techniques like burn and dodge, to be cowardly and unskilled...what might you think of floodfill? I'll leave you at this...adios, bye, ciao, adieu, good day...I'm not arguing with you on this issue after this post.
