I mean if the person makes something up that sounds japanese.. if you actually know a bit of japanese, or know what the name means.. then it's fine.. I'm sure you would know about people trying too hard to be "cool with japan", you seem like the type of person that would know a few..
You know, those people that are 100% american that act like they are cool because they are "otaku" and they know some japanese, and they are like "I'm going to live in japan because I'm so cool and I'm learning japanese so I can curse at you and you won't understand! and I never watch americanized anime because it sucks!"
