Heeelllo everyone...
I think, along with a handful of other people who strive for fun, that Graal needs a widely spread method of enjoyment. Many players have already started finding ways to make their G2k1 subscription more effective, and the post popular way of doing so is RolePlaying.
Unfortunately, Graal is like a small rural town, nestled quite comfortably in the middle of nowhere. Nothing changes much, and its citizens either try to make the best of their lives or let themselves be caught in a web of sameness. In Graal, the same system applies. Some players log onto the game solely to PK. I don't exactly see the fun of watching a player spin around and fall down, but obviously these people do. However, other players, specifically the more intelligent of the bunch, try to engage in public events and roleplay.
But sometimes, these two types of playing intertwine in a mass of tangles that are about as messy as a 3-year old's first attempt at eating. Today, I witnessed about 3 or 4 PKers storm into a stable where a couple of players were RPing. The once placid moment turned into an every-man-for-himself rumble with a barrage of fireballs flying everywhere. These PKers shouldn't be disrupting other players' fun. It's completely unacceptable. Yes, Dark Man X has tried to change Graal's code of conduct by instating a 1 hour jail time for anyone who disrupts an RPing session. Again, Police are taking it into their own hands to settle disputes. However, the only eminent solution is to somehow spread RPing throughout Graal in a fun, positive manner.
So, the question is... how do you think Role Playing should be encouraged (not enforced) throughout Graal? |
