You guys want to hear bad stories about the church? You know in the middle ages they didn't exactly have good intentions. I am Catholic but this is the truth, I am not defaming the church here in any way

Every Pope in the middle ages was somehow corrupt. He gave high ranking jobs to friends and family, they taxed the peasants and kings heavier so they could benefit financially and they made it the "will of God" for them to be successful in every aspect of life. The Avignon Papacy is a perfect example of this. There was one Pope (Alexander V or Alexander XI I forgot which) who had incest and every night he would literally get the *****s of Rome to march into the Vatican and they would have a big orgy and other disgusting things.

My point is that not every religion is perfect, they have all had their dark side in history. But being athiest and saying that it's not fair is not a good enough reason to get the pope hat up
