I'm am not Catholic. I would never consider being Catholic because of the following reasons. Please remember that these are my beliefs. I don't care if you like them because it doesn't matter. They are my opinions and only God and time will tell me if I am right.

Catholism preaches the prayer and worship of idols through the advocacy of saints.
The bible strictly states as said by Jesus "That no man comes to the father except through me."
Because of this statement it is not possible for purgatory to be real as Catholics believe, because you can not pray for a dead soul. Once it is a person is dead they will be judged upon how thier life was lived for God. No ammount of prayer can change that.
Catholics believe that a priest can tell you your sins are forgiven. But no one can forgive those sins except Jesus and God.

Saying all this I will tell you that I do not recognize the Pope as a religous icon and saying or making fun of him is not blasphemy of your religon. It is difference of opinion. If you don't like that oh well. Why should I have respect for someone that teaches and preaches what he does. For that matter what makes Catholics, particarlly the Vatican believe they have a right to keep the information that they keep there secret from the world. They do these things to control the way people see and fear them, because, "They alone can see that mankind can not handle what God deimed to give the world".
They cut several books out of the bible when the printing press was built because they thought that most of mankind could not handle what was in them. If you are Catholic you need to search you own history and find out just how much your leaders control your own personal action. I claim no religion. I claim a belief in God and Jesus Christ. I believe he is the way the truth and the light. Not some priest at the local 503 parish that says, "Your sins are forgiven, go in peace." Get a life and get real. Catholism does not even preach alot of the things that are in the bible, because those things would be detremintal to the things they see as "Truth".

Having said all this, shove off and let the "Pope" hat in the game.

As a side bar for those of you who don't know what 503 is you need to really look into your religon if you are Catholic.
