All I can say is everytime you play Classic restart your computer so your system resources are high, and take some programs away from your startup because they take up your system resources, configure your graal options for classic. Ex. Don't Connect levels, turn sound off, Don't load heads for playerlist/map don't use html in pms and etc. Everytime I go to play classic I restart my computer because sometimes classic can be a little laggy. But I barely lag.
