No, I'm disgusted with him. Whether or not his mom is truly dead does nothing to change the fact that he said so in a selfish and manipulative manner to gain sympathy. Even if your mother is dead, it's disgusting and disrespectful to use her memory as a sympathy ploy to divert attention from your bribing.
