I've had the same thing happen..
"What are you doing?!?!?" - Dad
"I'm making an NPC..." - Me
"What's an NPC!?!?!?" - Dad
"An NPC is a Non-Player Character." - Me
"Oh...*walks away in confusion*" - Dad
