heh, sorry, that was the very first thing that poped into my head.
Perhaps since bomys can spin...they can use something which requires alot of movement in a spinning motion.
A bomy could wear some sort of attatchment on it's shell, then it could spin to swing the net =)

a bag1 bag2 or bag3
each bag can hold a different amount
of things like maybe seeds
so bomys can dig for seeds and go
sell them to the apple lady, or something,
i don't know just an idea : )
