dunno why people are afraid. if you spar someone like wil and beat him, you will get a lot of elo. if you lose to him, you won't lose much elo. i hope that last part is right. people lose all the time.

i knew someone who was so competitive (i guess) that he was afraid to play ranked matches in madden. after he won his first game, his record was 1-0 online. he stopped playing online because he was afraid of losing lol. i mean like... wow.
