The answer should really depend on what you're trying to achieve exactly.
For instance, if you're going by 'where the players are', the solution is obvious. Keep in mind however that you would most likely have limited creative freedom as existing iPhone staff beneath Stefan tend to, have to make more profit orientated updates, and would be working with a higher amount of technical restrictions, mainly scripts would need to be optimised. So it could also be challenging to maintain a decent level of quality.
If your goal is to create a better version of the server which appeases players both old and new, PC would be more suitable. But ofcourse it's difficult to remain optimistic for a long enough period of time in an environment which is so stagnant and lacking in players. This however can be attributed to the negligent decisions and lack of support from above over all these years, while this does make it even more difficult than it should be, it's unlikely to change unless someone does step up to the plate. |
