To make a fair comparison, Zodiac requires zero skill, as you just repeat the same 4 button press macros and follow whatever class is the most op as they continuously nerf them one at a time in a endless cycle. And
ALL that matters is what you have (item wise) and use (skill/class wise).
Not to mention, for sake of argument, the only variables on Era would be the Gun, the Player, and Movement Speed/lag (possibly location/hp if you're not sparring, and Speed is usually equal). Zodiac would be the player plus: every piece of armor, weapon, accessory, class, build, skills, lag, race, zodiac sign, cmps, teaming party, combos, map location, health, regen, mana, buffs, debuffs... the list goes on endlessly.
Giving a level 1 whose never played before and has a crappy class with no skills the best weapon proves legitimately nothing.
On the other hand, Zone is dead... you can mouse shoot in 8 directions... and all the guns cost USD. Irrelevant.

I suppose to a point you are correct, the weapon plays a larger role on Era than any other server. But at the same time, so does the player. And I could almost guarantee you, given every weapon on Era, you still would lose to a good player.
