update to this issue. apparently graal client v5 computes stretchx before rotation, and v6 does rotation before stretchx. So if you look at the image in the OP, the particle in v6 looks like image 2, and the particle in v5 looks like image 3.
Is it too much to ask for both? perhaps it could follow in which order the code lines are written?
