If the storyline does come across as serious, or similar to Zelda then that's not necessarily a bad thing, the reason it's there is primarily to act as a guideline aswell as to reflect the history of the server, which is also why I disagree with the argument against players all following the same story in an online world, it may not make perfect sense but it's besides the purpose of having quests.

As much as I liked Tyhm's work the whole story behind Lozolin, Azazel, and whoever else was impossible to follow and didn't really add to the game, what we're doing now is intended to be more entertaining and recognisable. Many old characters have been re-used, but given their own little bit of a back story to tie it in to the main progressive story. I've also said all along that we plan to add side quests which are not part of the main story, or unlocked as you progress later on.
