Sure everyone likes shiny and new things, but it's not what's best for the server. With more "rare" and "new" items released it takes away from what Eras core goal is (PKing/Raiding/Sparring), and puts too much focus into economy, which in itself causes more problems, then fun it adds into the server. With fewer guns there's more balance, realistic and accomplishable goals for new players, and old players alike and it really gives justification to those who think they're "great" players because everyone is on an even playing field.
