They use a jacked up idea of a forums...
I mean really.. a Forums for your server online, Was that like their way of saying "Hey guys, our gameplay is so terrible that we needed to make the idea of PMs and conversations seem easy and approachable!" because other than that the entire concept itself is terrible. Just an online and offline Feedback/Support Center for their server would've been much easier and much more efficient to have created.
