Yup. I got a nifty piece of code (Downsider, too; he's so awesome <3) that emulates some mode7-like stuff. Basically, it projects the current level on your screen in a Terranigma underworld kind of way, somewhat bended. Not at all efficient, though, and only GS1. I don't think I'm allowed to release this anyway.
