Thought so.

He's a PRA. He's got no rights nor is it his job to deal with anything in the development team's area of influence.

@ the OP:

This idea isn't close to being fully developed. Your solutions, while not all bad, really don't solve -anything- in terms of giving parties and gangs more purpose. You're offering a few mini-games to help gain some additional, completely worthless points. You're trying to apply a band-aid to a severed corpse.

EDIT: totally forgot you mentioned ECs/trophies. ECs - It may work, but I think since points are earned through core gameplay, they should be used for things that directly affect core gameplay. Unless you're biggest goal as a gangster is to finally get that Oboe so you can join a band and clean up your act.

Trophies - Useless aesthetics to contribute to bragging rights, or would each trophy actually do something? If they do nothing, instead of dealing with "We got ur base bb lol u guys suk" masses, instead we'd be presented with the "my trophy case is so much bigger than urs u fuking ***got get on my level" retorts. So I guess that's a plus. But I'd love for you to elaborate on what a trophy would be and what it would or wouldn't do. Then I could actually critique it properly.

The first thing you'll have to do is define what a party is, and then define what it should be. Rather than adding in some meaningless minigames that remind me of daily quests from MMOs, you need to rework the gang/gang points/party system entirely to give it purpose.

You complain that the only thing for parties to do is to raid EM with no real incentive. What will adding mini-games with points (points that have no value) do to alleviate this problem? This isn't the 80s or the early 90s, only a few people out there still will devote their time to meaningless numerical values anymore. They need more reason to keep playing, and I don't really blame them.

The gang system that Sales was creating would have fixed both the parties and the gang system. Points had values that could be used to purchase upgrades for the gang, and parties had the ability that if they stayed active enough they could turn into a gang. That's really the best, easiest solution to fixing the problem of stale gameplay right now. Sure, after we've gotten that system in place - that's when we can add in your mini-games for extra diversity in gaining points and progressing.

But until then, you're simply adding more hollow ways to enjoy an already hollow aspect of the game. You've got hollow diversity, but any way you look at it it's still hollow.
